Biomaster Protected Antimicrobial Hairbrush Wins Marie Claire Design Award

Biomaster partner Tangle Angel has scooped a top design award with the new antimicrobial hairbrush, Tangle Angel Rebel.

The Marie Claire magazine awards celebrate the most exciting innovations in hair care, also rewarding companies who are taking positive steps to put ethics at the forefront.

The Tangle Angel Rebel won in the Best Detangling Brush category.

Marie Claire described the Rebel’s detangling ability as “...out of this world. It glides through hair – even really long hair – and isn’t fazed by knots and nests, thanks to its flexible bristles.

Hairbrushes can harbour large numbers of many different types of bacteria. Research has shown that a single hair follicle can take on over 50,000 germs and is a haven for dirt, dust and bacteria.

Biomaster technology within the hairbrush works 24/7 to provide antimicrobial protection for the intended lifetime of the product.

Launched in 2013, the original Tangle Angel hairbrush incorporating Biomaster protection was designed by royal celebrity stylist Richard Ward to offer a higher performance and more hygienic alternative to other hairbrushes on the market.

It has seen huge success with growth in sales through the QVC channel, hair salons and directly through Richard’s website.

Tangle Angle Global Sales Manager Marie Dunn says: "We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised by the Marie Claire Hair Awards for our edgy and unique REBEL detangling hairbrush.

Rebel is brilliant for styling all types of hair, the memory-flex bristles move in opposing directions for effective detangling, smooth brushing and scalp massage and the added benefits of antimicrobial and anti-static properties makes it a leader in it's category.
