Surge in Demand for Biomaster Protected Furniture Components
The Decorative Panels Group, UK-based supplier of decorative faced sheet materials, panel components and flat pack furniture, has significantly expanded its Biomaster protected product range due to increased demand.
A much wider offering than before will be rolled out across all of the DP Group companies using Biomaster protected sheet materials and edgebanding which will offer the highest possible product protection independently tested to ISO 22196.
The DP Group began offering antimicrobial products within the Group portfolio in 2013. As a trade laminator of sheet materials for the furniture and allied industries, Decorative Panels Lamination now offers an extensive range of surface designs incorporating Biomaster technology laminated to many different substrates.
These substrates can then be converted either in house at sister companies dp-furniture and dp-components, or externally to fellow manufacturers in many different market areas.
Biomaster inhibits the growth of bacteria by up to 99.99%. The antimicrobial protection works 24/7 for the lifetime of the product and does not wear off or leach out. The technology is extensively used in medical, food and water applications.
DP Group Marketing Director Charlotte Metcalfe comments: “The partnership we have with Addmaster, the leading supplier within the field of antimicrobial solutions, has enabled us to develop new products and markets with the most complete package of sheet materials and finished furniture available anywhere.
The effectiveness and longevity of the protection offered by the Biomaster product, incorporated with the extensiveness of our portfolio, further enhances the strength of the market beating partnership we have together.”
The origins of the Decorative Panels Group date back to 1907 when the family-owned business was a local cabinetmaker. Today Decorative Panels is Europe’s leader in the supply of decorative-faced sheet materials, panel components and flat pack furniture.
Still privately owned, the group combines three divisions, Decorative Panels Lamination, Decorative Panels Components and Decorative Panels Furniture. These companies supply the most prominent names in the furniture and allied industries sector ranging from manufacturers right through to retailers.
