First Biomaster Protected Cotton Bag Launched

After 12 months in development, Jutebag is the very first supplier to offer a Biomaster protected antimicrobial bag made from cotton.

The 5oz shopping bag has Biomaster technology built into the fabric. Biomaster provides lasting antimicrobial product protection and in independent ISO 20743:2013 tests is proven to inhibit the growth of microbes ion surfaces, including harmful food-borne strains of bacteria, by more than 99%.

The surface protection lasts for the useful lifetime of the item and, for added reassurance, the cotton bag can be washed up to 50 times without affecting the efficacy of the Biomaster additive.

The original award winning Biomaster patented antimicrobial 'bag for life' was developed as a response to concerns about the dangers posed by reusable bags.

Bacteria can easily transfer from different types of reusable bags to the hands and back again. Using the same bag repeatedly for different purposes increases the risk of contaminating the bag with harmful microbes.

Biomaster protected bags are available in high street supermarkets worldwide in a range of sizes and formats including insulated cool bags and pouch bags, but until now it has never before been available as a cotton bag.
